Reading others’ blog.

Posted on September 6, 2019 by chefswifediary

Utilising blog as venue to express our thoughts to the world is pretty common. Synthesising thoughts into words so that they don’t miggle in our brain for too long, storing write ups for future read and reread, and learning lessons from the past are some of the amazing perks of blogging.

The more readers we gain, the more encouragement we gather. Thankfully, at least someone out there is reading our content. Popularity plays a part, but it’s just a tip of the iceberg. Only through feedback we can improve writing and content skills.

Whilst the above is well acknowledged, reading others’ blog is not to be underestimated.

Of course, writing about facets of life as we go on seems pretty easy. Writing kicks of only when an inspiration is triggered. Truth to be told, inspiration doesn’t always come by. It comes and goes in seconds, even before we manage to pin it down. Without an inspiration, how do we start?

Reading others’ blog make us think, an inspiration leads to another inspiration, especially blogs that involve controversial topics. Relentless thoughts, questions, debates and comments from a community made up of  writers and readers makes us reflect our thoughts on topics we didn’t realised its existence in the first place. There are so much to learn as new writers (I am definitely one of them).

No doubt, most would love to be a genius in content and writing. It’s a sense of pride achievement we are talking about – to be looked up to etc. In spite of that, even a genius learns from someone else. Reading others’ blog can only help us get better in blogging. It’s a matter of time when majority starts realising its importance.

“And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.” ― Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

True. It’s great reading others thoughts in the form of a blog, particularly when the subject pertains to something that relates to you. This site also feels like a little community, which is nice.

I can only agree with that. In order to write we need to read – and besides that: there are so many awesome people out here in the blogosphere that it would be a shame to ignore their sparkling, different views on literally everything. Reading what others wrote has made me see and learn more than I could’ve ever imagined before. Thank you for sharing your view on this – something learned again:)
