Blogging is hard.

Posted on June 1, 2023June 1, 2023 by chefswifediary

Four weeks passed and I couldn’t land a post on my blog until today. The fact that I am seeing so many posts from other writers hitting my mailbox weekly drives my frustration further. Why can’t I just do it? Blogging is hard – since when?

My little pumpkin entered ‘Terrible TWO’ a month ago. Since then, she’s down with chicken pox and frequent tantrums that I haven’t been able to catch up with my surroundings. I am pretty sure I’ve lost many readers along the way. Initially, I was adamant about continuing my blog while creating new art pieces alongside. Hence, I rebranded my blog in quest of making room for my artistic skills. Little effort I have made since.

“What you think, you become.
What you feel, you attract.
What you imagine, you create.”

– Buddha

My mind was hoarded by a million things to do – work, schedule, etc. Occupied mind, there was only little space left for inspiration. So, my typical day goes like this: started my day with a million thoughts in shower, fully motivated to put them on paper, distracted as soon as I turned on my work laptop, didn’t stop until late afternoon, piled-up excuses to write later, mentally exhausted with back to back meetings, lost all my mood, and write nothing at wee hours.

I started with momentum of positive thoughts to write. With delayed action, I ended with no imagination left to create. Blogging has never been that hard; it’s my fault for not capturing inspirations in the moment.
